Jobs That Are currently Available In The Semiconductor Industry

Here are a number of positions I know about that my network of recruiters are working to fill.

1. Wireless startup company in the Bay area is looking for a Sr. Digital Design Engineer/ASIC. The company is looking for a lead engineer who is familiar with major design flows, IPs and EDA tools. Strong Verilog skills and experience in verification, synthesis and P&R will be required. Knowledge on signal processing and low-power techniques will be a plus. MSEE or PhD and about 10 years experience. Modem design exp. is preferred

2. A wireless RFIC startup in the Bay area is looking for a CAD Manager. The company looking for a hands-on manager who is familiar with Assura/Caliber/Diva. Experience in support/design in a Analog/Mixed Signal/RFIC field is preferred.

3. Sr. SerDes Design Engineer: Pre-IPO company in the Bay area is looking for Sr. SerDes Design Engineer. Experience on CDR, PLL and LVDS is required.

4. Sr. DSP Architect. A late stage startup company in the Bay Area is looking for a Sr. System Architect who is familiar with DSP and implementation of major analog blocks. Experience on Gigabit Ethernet will be preferred.

5. Sr. ASIC Design Engineer/Disk Drive Controller. An early stage startup company in the Bay Area is looking for a lead design engineer. Must be familiar with architecture, verification, DFT, etc. Experience on disk drive controller is preferred.

6. Senior Test Engineer - 5+ years in testing of large ASICs. Prefer experience with Serdes or other high-speed serial I/O. Responsible for developing and implementing ATE test plan, which includes writing test program, test vector translation, characterization, debug and bring up of the product on the ATE. Also Responsible for working with external vendors for test hardward design and setting up and transfering test programs/hardware for off shore production testing. (Silicon Valley)

7. Senior Embedded SW Engineer - 7+ years working on embedded software/firmware for high-speed networking applications with a focus Device Driver development. Should be familiar with SONET, Ethernet, QoS, TCP/IP, ATM, etc. (Silicon Valley)

8. Senior ASIC Verification Engineer - 8+ years. Should be very good with writing scripts in perl, C. Should be familiar with SONET, Ethernet, QoS, TCP/IP, ATM, etc. (Silicon Valley)

9. Senior ASIC Design Engineer - 5+ years. Must have designed multi-million gate ICs for high-speed networking applications. Any FPGA experience is an asset. (Silicon Valley)

10. Senior Analog Design Manager - 10+ years experience, 5 in management role. Requires experience designing power management ICs such as DC-DC, switching regulators, etc. (Silicon Valley)

11. Analog Design Engineer - MSEE + 3 years or PhDEE - looking for strong fundamental analog design skills. Experience designing data converters would be an asset. (Boston)

12. Analog IC Design Engineer - requires analog design expertise in advanced CMOS technologies to design data converters for state-of-the-art wireless chips. Should have designed at least one successful converter chip. Candidates should be well versed with various conversion techniques such as folding, flash, etc. Should have a good knowledge of analog and digital communication systems, semiconductor device theory, high-level simulation techniques. (New Jersey)

13. RF Systems Engineer - requires a good understanding of RF system design. Work will include 2.4 and 5.0 GHz board design, and integration of several complicated high performance chips in a single board. Requires strong debugging skill and knowledge of state-of-art lab equipment. (Boston)

14. Senior Systems Engineer, to write application and boot code in C, perform bringup, implement algorithms. Experience in wireline communications is ideal. (Southern California)

15. Principal Analog IC Design Engineer - High-Speed. (Southern California)

16. Director of Analog Design - High-Speed. (Southern California)

17. Senior Serial IO/Signal Integrity Engineer - Should have 5+ years experience, with good knowledge of high-speed pll design and noise/jitter issues. (Texas)

18. Principal Staff Engineer/Architect - Looking for a strong background in high-frequency (GHz+) communications design - systems and circuits. Specific exposure to Bandpass DSM very desirable. MSEE + 10 years. (Texas)

19. Senior Test Engineer - BS/MS + 5 years. Must have worked with Teradyne J750. Experience with Flash/EEPROM desirable. (Arizona)

20. Senior Design Engineer - BS/MS + 7 years. Experience with Microcontrollers and/or Flash/EEPROM required. (Arizona)

21. Senior Product Engineer - BS/MSEE + 5 years. Must have experience with standard analog products. (Silicon Valley)

22. Analog IC Design ?Silicon Valley High-speed analog design engineer able to design in Bipolar or CMOS High speed (1Ghz to 10Ghz) analog and digital circuits. Typical circuits are Equalizers, PLL, CDR and other giga speed digital communication circuits. MSEE or PhD or equivalent experience

23. Field Applications Engineer - Houston, TX Looking for Field Applications Engineers for traditional analog and mixed-signal products lines such as OpAmps and power supplies, RTC's and digital pots. Provide the technical interface with customers, learn to understand their applications and place a key role in defining new products

24. Senior Analog / Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer: Austin Experienced CMOS analog circuit designer with expertise in mixed voltage processes. Must have core analog sub-circuit and block level design experience. Some exposure to basic logic design (i.e. Verilog RTL) is necessary

25. Principal Design Engineer ? Irvine, Oregon. Silicon Valley 10+ years of industrial experience in the design of mixed-signal integrated circuits Minimum of 3 years of IC design specifically for optical communications Design experience at GHz frequencies, with a strong preference for 10 GHz and above

26. Director of Hardware Engineering ? Silicon Valley Responsible for managing the development of advanced products in a rapidly growing, high tech, consumer products company. Strong board level digital and/or analog design experience, with systems design and architecting experience, and strong debug skills. 7+ years managing HW engineering groups; 10+ years of experience with ARM and equivalent processors; 15+ years work experience in hardware

27. Executive Director of Engineering High Speed Communications product group. Minimum 12 years of relevant hands-on, analog/mixed-signal IC design experience and 6+ years managing large design teams. Direct all aspects of product development from concept to full production. Lead a high level staff including Directors, Scientists and large teams

28. Sr. Hardware Engineer/Architect ?Silicon Valley Architect and lead major new platform developments. Needs to be aware of leading Technologies and IP, be able to effectively apply to product concepts and make the assess risk, evaluate and identify performance bottlenecks, and make the appropriate h/w and s/w tradeoffs. Contribution to full custom ASIC design efforts.

29. Power IC Design: TexasExperienced power IC designer who has worked in numerous switching converter IC?s. Must be well versed in both circuit design and signal processing. A minimum of 7 years analog design experience is required.
